This is one of my favorite outfits ever - mostly because of the story behind it! A few months ago a new colleague of mine that had recently relocated to our U.S. office from Denmark came to work wearing the most gorgeous cream knit poncho. I complimented her on it and she told me that her mom had knit it for her! Color me impressed. Later that day she emailed me that her mom would be happy to make one for me (!!!). She brought it with her from Denmark when she came in to visit for the holiday this week and I have not stop wearing it since. I can't believe she a) made this and b) that it's really a two-of-a-kind special piece that I will have forever.
As I've gotten older I've really started to appreciate a smaller, more tailored wardrobe of pieces I really love. It's funny that as you get better at it, you realize almost every piece has a story behind of why you love it so much!
