Hi, I’M MEG.

I live in West Hartford, CT with my husband Chris and our baby girl Nell. We love classic American style and bickering about whose turn it is to unload the dishwasher. Glad you stopped by!

C's HALLiday Gift Guide for Men

C's HALLiday Gift Guide for Men

halliday2.jpeg

This year we have all been uncomfortable in some way shape or form. Whether it was being uncomfortable in not seeing loved ones for long stretches of time, wearing masks at the park, having to work remotely with screaming toddlers in your ear, or not being able to go on those long-anticipated, well-deserved vacations, we have all been uncomfortable in various ways.  That is why more so than before, the 2020 holidays are all about the items that not only bring you joy, but some level of COMFORT. So with that, here are some of my must-haves for men to guide you during your holiday 2020 shopping adventures.

CRIQUET SHIRTS

Long Sleeve Players Shirt: Super durable cotton shirt that can be worn on the golf course or while sipping cocktails by the fire. Easy to layer.

Snap Fleece Pullover: This modern look pullover is essential for your everyday look. It is NOT bulky (huge win) and has you standing out without sticking out.

Quilted Shacket Red Flannel: This shacket is like wearing a quilted blanket in jacket form. What I love the most is the comfortable nylon interior lining. It’s warm, functional and perfect for running cold weather errands or just bummin’ around the house.

BANANA REPUBLIC (all picks currently 40% off with an extra 10% at checkout, no code needed)

Sherpa Jacket: Soft and fluffy with all the versatility. I love wearing it with a Henley, and jeans, but can easily be worn with a button down and chinos.

Brushed Waffle-Knit Shirt Jacket: I love this shirt jacket. It’s got a nice easy weight to it and can see myself wearing it throughout the winter.

French Terry Funnel Neck Sweatshirt: Smooth on the outside with tiny, flat loops on the reverse. This sweatshirt offers all the cozy comfort of your traditional hoodie, sans hood.

Double-Weave Shirt Jacket: Perfect for layering in cooler temps. I’ve also just worn it with a white tee and rolled up the sleeves.

TODD SNYDER

Midweight Pocket Sweatshirt: I own 4 of these and wear them throughout the year. Has a broken-in, Dad’s college sweatshirt feel to it. Can be styled up or down.

Midwight Slim Jogger Sweatpant: Sweatpants don’t need a description but these are the best pair I’ve owned.

YETI

Hopper 8 Flip Portable Cooler: I use this daily to bring my lunch to school since COVID restrictions have been in place and we use it as a family every single weekend.

Base Camp Chair: The ultimate packable soccer dad chair

BRAUN

Multi-Grooming Kit: Meg note - C is basically sharing his favorite nose trimmer.

BUSHNELL

Golf Wingman Speaker: This thing lets you listen to tunes on the course while simultaneously providing GPS distances. Incredible (also Meg this one is a hint).

L.L. BEAN

Men’s Wicked Good Lodge Chukkas: These have the benefits of the classic Wicked Good slippers but with a little more character.

Men’s Airlight Knit Pullover: This has been great for early winter runs.

CHRISTOPHER CLOOS SUNGLASSES

Tom Brady Collection: Universally flattering shades from a quality Danish eyewear brand.

HUCKBERRY

Astorflex Bitflex Chelsea Boot: best Men’s chelsea boot on the market.
