Main Bedroom with Madison Hudson Design
I am so thrilled to finally share our complete main bedroom project that we kicked off back in May. We’ve lived in our home for over four years now and have been very focused on the exterior of our home as well as our primary living space on the first floor. Once Nell’s nursery was complete we realized how nice it’d feel to have a dedicated space for us, too, but it just never made the priority list.
This year, I had the pleasure of partnering with my friend and previous colleague Michelle of Madison Hudson Design to finally breathe some life into our main bedroom. I detailed much of the process here but due to COVID and a few partnerships we were waiting on a few pieces for several months.
Thankfully, everything arrived just in time for the new year and this room is now COMPLETE. It’s better than I imagined and I know we will enjoy this room for many years to come. It feels open, airy, light, welcoming and comfortable while retaining a sense of simplicity. Michelle definitely pushed me a bit out of my comfort zone with the dressers which is exactly what I needed to tip this room from a bit dated to current. The dressers contrast perfectly with the more traditional bed, and the white washed oak of the nightstands warms up the cooler tones in the space.
The best part of this process, during a global pandemic, was that everything was 100% virtual. A few Facetime calls made install a breeze along with Michelle’s tried and true furnishing and delivery companies.
Please feel free to leave any questions in the comments and I will answer!
